Assalamualaikum,
I just receive an e-mail about the eligible voters. Before this, we heard about young voters (under 21) in the database.
Then, in the e-mail, someone give me a list of IC number. If we check (I just check it, it's real), we may see that all of these voter were born in 18xx. So, majority of them are 100 years and above (quite silly right?)
Our IC number format just show the last 2 digit for year format. So when we look at the number, we may think that either this person is 19xx or 18xx. If 19xx, then some of them are not eligible to vote, but if it's 18xx, we may doubt, are they still alive? So much 'super old people' in malaysia (oldest is 128 years old). We should be in the World book of Record for having the most old people. Even if they have died, SPR should remove their name automatically and register new voters automatically. Are you lazy?
Will our election this year be just and thorough? Didn't Islam teach us to be just in everything? My post is not because of political war, but about how justice are implemented in this country. So much cheating and manipulating happens just to win a chair (if you want a chair, i'll give you with the table). Even our judiciary was corrupted.

SPR - Suruhanjaya Penipu Rakyat
Assalamualaikum,
What a strange title, is it? Or not strange at all. But, that is phenomena of Malaysian Election (or Erection according to ZAM - funny huh?).
My friend send me a URL to the website I used to surf. It is Ustaz Zaharudin Abdul Rahman website or UZAR. Something tragic happens to him for this upcoming election. Read his article:

Terkilan..tanpa dapat saya sembunyikan, rasa sakit hati. Mengapa dan sakit hati kepada siapa?
Sebagai rakyat Malaysia, rasa terkilan dengan Suruhanjaya Pilihanraya Malaysia amat tinggi berbanding biasa. Mengapa?
Banyak sebabnya dan saudara boleh membaca sendiri di web-web yang berkaitan. Namun kali ini saya merasa lebih lagi sakitnya dari biasa kerana salah satu bentuk ‘kepelikan' itu telah berlaku kepada ahli keluarga saya.
Ia berlaku kepada isteri saya. Isteri saya sejak awal mendaftar, tempat mengundinya adalah Hulu Bernam, Ulu Selangor, iaitu dikampung kelahirannya. Bukan sekadar itu malah isteri saya juga telah pernah mengundi di Hulu Selangor pada tahun 1999, semasa pilihanraya yang ke 10.
Walaubagaimanapun, pada tahun 2004 kami sekeluarga gagal membuang undi kerana berada di luar negara. Namun sejak sebulan lepas, apabila membuat semakan daftar pemilih, entah bagaimana tempat mengundi isteri saya bertukar ke Demit, Kubang Kerian, Kelantan.
Keperitan Menghubungi SPR
Puas kami menghubungi nombor telefon SPR untuk mengadu hal dan mendapatkan penjelasan bagaimana pertukaran tempat mengundi boleh berlaku, tetapi talian SPR asyik sibuk dan tidak pernah diangkat (iaitu nombor 03-8885 6500) yang kami petik dalam web SPR berikut : http://www.spr.gov.my/index/hubungi.htm hampir setiap hari dihubungi tetapi setiap hari jugalah tiada jawapan.
Disebabkan kesibukan saya dan isteri, kami mengambil keputusan untuk membuat surat rasmi dan menghantar faks ke (603)-8888 9117, juga nombor faks yang sama dari web di atas tadi. Dalam masa yang sama percubaan menelefon dibuat setiap hari, semuanya gagal.
Sehinggalah hari ini (24 Feb 08), muncul nombor baru di televisyen, iaitu 03-9274 62692, nombor ini muncul 3 saat sahaja, namun bila dihubungi, rupanya tersilap nombor.
Akhirnya, dapat juga kami hubungi nombor SPR yang ada manusia mengangkatnya iaitu 0326810280. Namun hasil aduan itu, kami menghadapi kepelikan, keajaiban jahat dan kekecewaan sahaja.
Kemuncak kepelikan
Pegawai wanita tersebut berkata; menurut rekod mereka, kononnya isteri saya ketika mula-mula mendaftar pada 10 Mac 1998 dahulu, alamat asal adalah di Kampung Demit, Kubang Kerian. Justeru itulah sahaja yang mereka tegaskan, Sedangkan ia tidak benar sama sekali dan isteri saya tiada sebarang urusan dengan negeri Kelantan, juga bukan orang Kelantan.
Namun yang lebih PELIK DAN AJAIB, pada tahun 1999 isteri saya telah pun membuang undinya di Hulu Selangor tanpa sebarang masalah. Bagaimana boleh diundur waktu dan didaftar di Kelantan pula.. kami tiada mesin ajaib masa Doraemon. So apa sebenarnya ini?!!!. Adakah ini penipuan dan penyelewengan yang sering digembar gemburkan oleh pembangkang ?? ! . Jika benar, hampir pastilah ia dilakukan oleh pihak yang tidak ada iman tentang alam barzakh dan neraka!!
Hasilnya, kemungkinan isteri saya tidak sempat mengundi tahun ini, kerana pelbagai kesukaran pengangkutan untuk ke Kelantan dan bayi kami pula yang masih berumur 2 bulan. Saya pula terpaksa membuang undi di Kedah pada hari tersebut. Banyak lagi sebab lain yang tidak memungkinkan saya untuk bertandang ke Kelantan dan Kedah dalam hari yang sama.
Saya masih berusaha mencari muslimah-muslimah Kelantan yang dipercayai untuk menumpangkannya ke Kelantan dan pulang ke KL pada hari yang sama, namun ia amat sukar...
Benar, kami juga ada salahnya kerana tidak membuat semakan lebih awal dan menukar dengan pantas (sebelum 60 hari dari pilihanraya) apabila terdapat kesilapan, tetapi apa yang berlaku mendedahkan "something wrong is happening". Yang penting pihak SPR wajib bertanggung jawab di akhirat kelak, kami akan tuntut semua hak-hak ini tanpa BELAS KASIHAN.
This is what happen to one poor ustaz. What about others? Besides this incident, there are a lot more misconduct by SPR such as:
1) On the day of nominating candidates, there were cases where the candidate of BN, Rafidah Aziz, forgot to sign her form but it is acceptable by SPR. In Titiwangsa, BN candidate did not pay for stamping (this regulation introduced in this election) and pay the deposit in cheque, but SPR quickly remove the stamping regulation and accept his nomination.
2) In Kijang, a BN candidate were declared bankrupt by MARA, but it happens before the nomination day. And who reveal the bankrupcy memo? It is Dato' Husam Musa. So, someone was hiding the memo to let the candidate to participate in this election before it was discovered by Husam.
3) In the registry of voters, there still exist people who did not exist anymore (dead) and there are also underage voters. I'm sure most of you have seen this before.
There are more misconduct to come. We'll just wait and see. That's why Bersih had that rally. It is not to bring down the government like other country (like Indonesia when they want to bring down Suharto and they did it). Bersih just want to have a fair election. Just let the people choose. If many cases as Ustaz Zaharudin happens, where is our power to vote wherever we like? It is like an instruction to vote where the SPR want you to vote. (But it is also an advantages if opposition parties were there and we can give our vote to the opposition).
So, my advise is, you have the power to choose and choose wisely. If you are fed-up with current ex-government, switch to a new one and give them a test drive for 5 years. But, even though we can't be hundred percent sure that the opposition can win this election (BN have strong influence in Sabah and Sarawak), at least we have to increase the number of the opposition to balance the voice of the people. So, vote wisely. Wallahu Ta'ala A'lam

Attack To Islam, Why??
Assalamualaikum,
Recently, I've been hearing a lot of attack from the non-muslims and also the 'muslim' itself. When we want to do amar ma'ruf and nahi mungkar, the voice come that Islam disturb the privacy and the human rights. And Islam being label as extremist by the western mass media. Until now, a disease spread where no doctor can cure it; "Islamophobia".
Why people are so afraid to Islam? Is it Islam teach us be violence, to kill all people who are not muslim or to avoid having any connection with them? NO!! if you read the holy quran, there is no word saying that you should kill those non-muslim, but those who oppressed and threaten you, fight them but leave the children, women and the elders unharmed. Read the stories of war during Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Didn't it shows that Islam is the religion of peace? But yet, why Islamophobia spread?
Is it Islam have flaws in its teaching? Absolutely wrong. Islam is perfect. If Islam have flaws, why most academician, scientist and professionals in the western, revert back to Islam? (I don't like to use the word convert, because we are Muslim before we were born, so I use revert). Contradict to that, most normal muslim people convert to other religion. Why is this happens?
The answer is the Muslims itself. What is the different between the professionals and the normal muslim/people? The scientist, academician and the professional, when they want to know about Islam, they study the Islamic teaching from the genuine text and reliable sources. But most of us, who got confused with Islam, did they read the holy quran and try to understand it? Did they seek the ulama' and ustaz? Did they look for the genuinity of a hadith? No!! Then, what did they study? They study the Muslims..
Not all Muslims is a good muslim. Some of them are practicing it half-half, some mix it with culture (what I mean is the culture that exhibit bad morality and contradict with Islamic teaching) and some of them pretend to become a great Islamic Scholars, but confusing the Muslim. So, Islamic teaching is flawless, just that the muslims who presents that they are muslim, wrongly. (Ustaz Ismail Kamus said, "niat baik, teknik salah")
A qoute from a video series in youtube, The Reminder, Ali said : "If you want to know about Islam, go study Islam, don't study the muslims". But, however, most of us tend to study from the muslims. So what we do and act, is what they will see about Islam. So, for my brothers and sisters in Islam, please... behave well and show good akhlak.
So, what should we do? We know that Islam is beautiful and did not oppressed people. Islam liberated us from total darkness. So, we should exhibit the beauty in Islam in our daily life. Let me give you some tips (a tips for me also):
1) Don't ever leave your prayer or pray late until the end of the period. This shows the discipline of Islam. And when you hear the Azan, stop your work and answer the call. Find the nearest mosque or musolla, or you can pray everywhere (if there are no mosque or it is to far). When you do that, people will see that muslim is very discipline.
2) Be punctual or even better, be early in whatever good things we do. Come to lectures early (I need this reminder) and people will see that Islam teach the followers to become punctual.
3) Excel in your academics to create more Islamic scholars and professionals.
4) Behave well and have a good manner. Always smile whenever you receive a harsh word and criticism. Don't ever get angry with them (except they insult our god, prophet or Islam)
So, show the true beauty of Islam. And for those muslims who want to know more about Islam, seek your ustaz or ulama'. Don't take an article or a person saying that he is the so-called Islamic scholars without proper certificates and understanding about Islam as your teacher, they will make you confused. I'm really sorry for not updating this blog. Either I don't have time or no mood to write. But, it's not that i'm bored to write. I wrote somewhere else, in forum (check www.rakanmasjid.com, my nick is edward_elric) and in published article (i.e buletin for PRSS).
Anyway, I try to share whatever happen in Malaysia itself in my point of views, so please readers, open a bit of your with my sharing and you can either accept or reject my though.
And the new post will cover not only islamic teaching, but also politic, economics, social as all of these in within Islamic teaching. Islam is syumul and universal. Don't secularize it. Insyaallah, I'll try to entertain you with my posting. Wallahu Ta'ala A'lam. Ilal liqa'
